- Second Lieut. (temporary Lieutenant) W. J. Satchell, of the
Hunts. Cyclists, is promoted to temporary Captain, and Second Lieutenants
F. J. Read, P. Plowman, A. W. Wilson, W. L. Stephenson, J. E. Gripper, and
F.
T. Burditt are to be temporary Lieutenants.
F. T. Burdett was one of three men to be gazetted Second Lieutenant
< 31/12/1915.
Sec. L/t G. A. Bliss - Under Battalion orders
132, issued by Lieut. Col. J. L. Stanley V. D., officer commanding 2/1st
Huntingdonshire Cyclist Battalion issued at The Vine Cottage, Chapel St.
Leonards, Lincs. on 4th June 1917 at 5-00pm., and signed by H. B. Moss
Blundell, ( 2 L/t and acting Adjutant), orders being for the following day
i.e. 5th June 1917 (Ref: 155), records indicate that he reported his
arrival from the 4th Hotchkiss Gun Course at Strensall on 1-6-1917, at the
time he was a Sec. L/t. in A company.

The following Second Lieutenants of the Hunts. Cyclists have been
promoted temporary Lieutenants; - F. J. Read, P. Plowman, A. W. Wilson, W.
T. Stephenson, J. E. Gripper, F. T. Burdett. From a local paper = 10/11/1916 he was noted
as being one of six Second Lieutenants that were promoted to Temporary
Lieutenants.

Lieutenant F. T. Burditt - Under Battalion orders, [Part 2] issued by Lieut.
Col. M. D. Barkley, officer commanding 2/1st Huntingdonshire Cyclist Battalion
issued at Beechlands, Skegness on 15th September 1918, and signed by W. J.
Satchell (Captain and Adjutant), on 14th September 1918 at 5-00 p.m., [Regulars]
records indicate that he was allocated the additional sum of 16/3d in respect of
additional housing allowance for part of May, June, July and this sum has been
placed with the officer.
