granted leave from 16-8-18 to22-8-18 inclusive.

by Lieut. Col. M. D. Barkley, officer commanding 2/1st Huntingdonshire Cyclist
Battalion issued at Beechlands, Skegness on 1st August 1918, and signed by W. J.
Satchell (Captain and Adjutant), on 31st July 1918 at 5-0p.m., [Regulars]
records indicate that there was an amendment to the Battalion orders Part 2
issue sheet 176 Regulars, sub-paragraph 3 d/d 31/7/1918 for 'Posted to A and C
Company' read 'Posted C and A Company'.
Second Lieutenant W. C. W. Hawkins - A Company - Under Battalion orders, [part
2] issued by Lieut. Col. M. D. Barkley, officer commanding 2/1st Huntingdonshire
Cyclist Battalion issued at Beechlands, Skegness on 25th August 1918, and signed
by W. J. Satchell (Captain and Adjutant), on 24th August 1918, [Territorials]
records indicate that he was to proceed to the 55th Bombing Course, Otley, on
5/5/1918.
Second Lieutenant W. C. W. Hawkins - Under Battalion orders, [Part 2] issued by
Lieut. Col. M. D. Barkley, officer commanding 2/1st Huntingdonshire Cyclist
Battalion issued at Beechlands, Skegness on 15th September 1918, and signed by
W. J. Satchell (Captain and Adjutant), on 14th September 1918 at 5-00 p.m.,
[Regulars] records indicate that he was allocated the additional sum of 9/2d in
respect of additional housing allowance for part of May, June, July and this sum
has been placed with the officer.
