William Hunnybun.

. From a local paper dated 17/10/1914 under a heading "The Hunts. Cyclist Battalion." orders for Sunday (< 17/10/1914)  gave the following change of company responsibility for the officers, it was also stated that these changes were by no means permanent. Lieutenant W. Hunnybun to be posted to A Company.  

Sec. Lt. (temp Capt.) W. Hunnybun to be Lt (temp Captain) (4th May). - He was one of a small number of officers from the H C B that received a promotion as reported in the London Gazette.    

He was one of two sons of Edward Walter Hunnybun, who was a Huntingdon solicitor (Hunnybun & Sons)  - William Hunnybun (1883-1960). 

By the 26/1/1918 = Lt. Colonel W. Hunnybun, son of Mr. E. W. Hunnybun, formally of Huntingdon,  is now commanding the 2/5th Kings Liverpool Regt.  at the Front.
