Alfred George Ashford.

Alfred George Ashford served as private 28391 in the 14th Royal Warwickshire Regiment. He was killed in action on Friday 23rd March 1917 whilst serving in France & Flanders aged only 19. He enlisted in Huntingdon but at the time was living in St. Neots with his parents George William and Alice Ashford in Huntingdon Street.  He formerly served as 1742 in the Huntingdonshire Cyclist Battalion. 

He was buried in Bethune Town Cemetery, Pas de Calais, France,  in grave VI. C. 24.
