newspaper entries indicate that by 25/2/1916 Colour Sergeant F. Ashley
had been promoted to the rank of Colour Sergeant Major at the time it
was indicated that he was serving in the 2/1st Hunts. Cyclist Batt.
consequent upon the Double Company system having been adopted on
December 1st 1916 last.
Local newspaper entries indicate that by 2/1/1915 Colour Sergeant F. Ashley had been transferred from G to A Co, of the 2/1st Hunts. Cyclist Battalion. |
