He was 39428 a private in the 1st Royal Berkshire Rgt. (Princess Charlotte of Wales's). Killed in action on the 17-9-1916,  he formerly served as 1061 in the Hunts Cyclists. He was born at Ramsey St Mary, enlisting at Huntingdon. He is buried at Hebuterne Military Cemetery, Pas de Calais, France.
