Local papers say by the 5/10/17 'We are very sorry to hear that Private Lewis Larkins, Everton Heath, has had the misfortune to be wounded while engaged on the Western Front. Full particulars have not yet come to hand, but we gather that his wounds are not of a very serious nature.'
