Col. J. L. Barkley V. D., officer commanding 2/1st Huntingdonshire Cyclist
Battalion issued at Vine cottage, Chapel St. Leonards, Alford, Lincs. on
11th December 1916 at 6:00 p.m., and signed by W. J. Satchell (Captain and
Adjutant), orders being for the following day i.e. 12 December 1916,
records indicate that he was granted leave of absence from 12-2-1917 to
16-12-1917 inclusive.
