Barkley, officer commanding 2/1st Huntingdonshire Cyclist Battalion issued at Vine cottage, Chapel St. Leonards, Alford, Lincs. on 12th October 1917 at 6:30 p.m., and signed by W.J. Satchell (Captain and Adjutant), orders being for the following day i.e. 13th October 1917, records indicate that he was admitted to the Winthorpe Auxiliary Hospital, Skegness on 11-10-1917.
