Lance Corporal 307677, 1/8thTerritorial Battalion, Royal Warwickshire Regiment. Killed in action 27th August 1917, age 25. Son of Samuel & Ellen M J Payne, Red Hill Cottages, Fenstanton. Born Hemingford Grey, enlisted Huntingdon, resident Somersham, Hunts. Formerly 624, Huntingdonshire Cyclist Battalion.
