Information from a local paper 19th March 1953 - Report of death of Bertram W Rule, 56, died 10/3/1953 son of Alfred Rule of Forty Foot.

Ex Hunts Cyclist Battalion and later Queens Westminster Regt.  - Served in France and Salonika with Army Service Corps.

Son was Vic Rule, blacksmith of Forty Foot.
